🃏🎉 THE JACKPOT HAS BEEN WON!!! 🎉🃏

What a fantastically fun evening we had at the Village Social last night! ❤️

It was a lovely, relaxed evening with a great atmosphere… and then came the excitement of the FINAL Chase the Joker of the year! 😱🃏

A grand total of £700 was up for grabs and it was TENSE! 😬

And then… THE JOKER CAME UP!!! 🃏🎉

The cheers around the hall were brilliant! 🥳👏

But then something truly wonderful happened…

Our winner very generously decided to donate the entire £700 jackpot back to the Village Hall, helping us continue to build the funds needed for our much-needed refurbishments. ❤️🏡

We are honestly so incredibly grateful for this amazing donation. What an unbelievably kind and generous thing to do. It means so much to us and to the future of our village hall. ❤️

And, of course, a HUGE thank you to everyone who came along last night, supported the Village Social, bought tickets, had a drink and helped make it such a brilliant evening. 🍻🥂

Sadly, due to low volunteer numbers, we won’t be able to host our Summer Sunset event scheduled for Saturday 29th August. We’re really disappointed, but these things happen when there just aren’t enough hands to make it work. 💔

BUT… there is some good news! 🎉😍

The Village Social will be OPEN on Friday 28th August from 6pm — so come and join us for a drink, a catch-up and a good old village night! 🍻🥂

🎉 After a fantastic (and very busy!) Fête weekend, our focus now shifts to this Friday’s Village Social! 🍻

As always, the doors open at 6pm, so come along for a relaxing evening with friends, neighbours, and a well-earned drink after all the weekend excitement.

This week we’d also like to give a big welcome to our newest volunteer, Lauren, who’s joining the bar team for the first time. If you see her, please make her feel right at home! 😊

🎈 IT’S TOMORROW! 🎈

The Village Fête is almost here!

Everything is ready for an amazing family day packed with fun, great food and fantastic entertainment.

✨ Browse our wonderful marketplace full of brilliant local stallholders.
🌭 Tuck into something delicious from the BBQ.
🍰 Treat yourself to tea and homemade cake.
🍹 Cool off with one of our incredible cocktails from the fully stocked bar.
🏰 Let the children enjoy the bouncy castle.
🚜 Meet the tractors, see the livestock and don’t forget an ice cream!

☀️ It’s going to be a hot one, so please dress appropriately. There will be plenty of shade available inside the village hall and under the marquee.

🚫 We kindly ask that you don’t bring gazebos, as space is limited and we want everyone to enjoy the day comfortably.

Fete day tomorrow and the weather looks FINE! The Village Social bar opens at 12. As well as our usual wines, beers, ciders, soft drinks etc we have included local ales and a lager from Weldon Brewery and cider from Nevill Holt. Cocktail specials are back including Aperol spritz and Pimms and to coincide with World Rum Day we’ve got a punchy rum punch and a punch with no punch (using 0%) and a classic Dark n Stormy. Come along, grab your drinks and something from barbecue, enjoy the music and the weather.

🌞 It’s Wednesday 1st July, which means two exciting announcements! 🌞

🍻 This Friday (3rd July), the Village Social is back! 🍻

We’ll be open from 6pm, and our very own Queen of Chase the Joker, Stacey, will be behind the bar to welcome you!

The weather is looking lovely, so why not make the most of it? Bring the kids and the dogs along to enjoy the field while you relax with a nice cold drink. We can’t wait to see you!
