Mansfield parkrun At parkrun you can run, jog or just walk! It's a free, timed 5 km event every Saturday at 9 o'clock in lovely Manor Park, Mansfield Woodhouse.

CANCELLATION THIS WEEKEND

We are very sorry to have to announce that Mansfield parkrun scheduled for MAY 30 2026 IS CANCELLED.

This is due to a situation at the venue over which we have no control. We had been hoping it might be resolved in time but sadly things didn't work out. We are all very disappointed the event can not take place.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you again next weekend. Please check our page for the latest information.

One of our core team has just this Monday evening stepped in as timekeeper May 30 so we are OK for the roster and good-to-go!

We had a brilliant event this morning just past but now as folk are checking out our page I'm hoping one or two of you will be able to offer an hour or so of your time to be a volunteer next weekend, May 30.

We need another timekeeper and one or two barcode scanners please. These roles are essential to parkrun's operation and at holiday times it can be harder to fill them.

If you can offer just a little of your time I think you'll enjoy seeing parkrun from a different perspective.... Why not give it a try?

Bring a drink because unusually warm conditions could leave you thirstier than usual.

And now for something completely different....

Like myself you may only ever be able to dream of being handed the token pictured below! 😁

There's never a problem with that particular number not being dropped into the token box after scanning. Or indeed nearly all the rest - thank you! But, disappointingly, again this week a small number of tokens did not get handed in.

The RD's briefing drew participants' attention to returning tokens as did Chalky at his pre-event welcome. Regular runners know the deal so perhaps it's those unfamiliar with parkrun who are not understanding? We naturally need a full set of finish tokens and getting replacements for those missing can be a pain in the you-know-what.

If you can't remember dropping your token into the box, please take a look in your kit, just in case you didn't. 😉 Please hand it to the RD of the day who will be delighted to get it back - thank you!

Next weekend's a long one, certain to be choc-a-bloc on the roads and at tourist traps. A perfect weekend to stay home and do Mansfield parkrun! 😁

We have a fine roster but welcome extra volunteers and we love to see new participants be they runners, joggers or walkers.

What beautiful running, walking and spectating weather today on lovely Manor Park!

Many thanks to our hard-working volunteers and especially to 'our Garry' who we rely on to put right the few bits that go wrong - thank you Garry! 😀 Sorry to everyone waiting for the delayed results. It was a trying day! lol 😟

And thank you to the participants and the many well-wishers who enjoyed their experience at Manor Park.

We hope you'll join us again next Saturday. 🙂
