Nobody asked us to bring brilliant disabled & neurodivergent-led art, weird theatre, big Edinburgh Fringe names and questionable choices to Mansfield.

Which is probably why we did it.

Turns out, sometimes the best stuff is the stuff you didn’t know you wanted.

OneFest is back in 2027. And no, we’re not planning on behaving.

The Virginmarys played at this year’s OneFest, and one audience member summed it up perfectly:

“I was blown away by The Virginmarys and their show! It was a journey of empowerment for all of those involved.”

That’s a big part of why we programme work like this.

Not just because it’s a great show, but because it gives people something to connect with, something to feel part of, and something to come away from with a bit more confidence than they arrived with.

“I didn’t know what to expect… and that was one of the most moving things I’ve seen in a long, long time.”

Mark went into Sam Browne’s The Manosphere and Other Fun Shapes knowing nothing about Sam or the show.

He came out having nearly cried, bought a poster and with a couple of poems he knew he’d still be thinking about the next day.

A little bit sad. A little bit funny. A whole lot of poetry.

Sometimes not knowing what to expect is the whole point of OneFest.

THE Charity Shop Sue has now graced OneFest with her presence for the third year running. ✨

At this point we're not sure if she's a special guest, part of the furniture, or secretly running the whole thing.

Sue hosts our Cabaret night, weaving the whole thing together in true Sue style - chaotic, hilarious, unpredictable and exactly the kind of energy OneFest was made for.

Three appearances in and it wouldn’t feel quite like OneFest without her.

All hail Charity Shop Sue, Queen of the OneFest Village. Long may she reign. 👑

Bringing brilliant art to a town that’s not entirely sure it wants it.

That’s basically OneFest.

We could put the safe stuff on. The stuff everyone already knows they like...

Or we can keep bringing something different to Mansfield and asking people to take a chance on it.

We’ve chosen the second one.

We’ll win you over eventually.
Or we won’t. We’re doing it anyway. 🖕
