Lovely cake, lovely marshals, lovely surroundings…just try to forget Angel Hill! 😆

We can’t believe it’s been three months since this year’s IT’S A PIECE OF CAKE 10K, and it’s just nine months go to the next one! We’ll be sharing more info about our 2027 race at some point in autumn 2026, so keep your eyes open. But for now, we hope you’re all having a lovely summer full of running (and cake, or maybe ice cream in the heat 😜).

Let’s hear it for our volunteers this Volunteers Week!

This week (1st to 7th June) is Volunteers Week here in the UK, so we thought this would be the perfect time to celebrate the many volunteers and the organising committee from our host club Manchester Frontrunners who all help to make our 10K race in Manchester happen every spring!

Year in year out, we get so much positive feedback from participants about our volunteers, which really makes us feel very proud. To everyone who has ever volunteered for our event, thank you for making good things happen!

Thanks to you, we raised £1450 for George House Trust! 🥳❤️

We want to thank all who came and donated or bought cake at our 10K race in Manchester this Saturday. All this money will go towards funding the brilliant work George House Trust does towards supporting people affected by HIV in the region. Pictured is one of our wonderful donations, a berry-licious marvel that rightly won this year’s best-looking cake rosette! 🍰
