Greater Manchester Fringe

Greater Manchester Fringe Greater Manchester Fringe 1-31 July - drama, dance, comedy, live music, poetry, spoken word, vis The Greater Manchester Fringe is now in it's 11th year.

A truly grass roots Fringe that takes place across July in tiny theatres and rooms above pubs across Greater Manchester. The Greater Manchester Fringe allows anyone to take part so long as they can find a venue for their performance (which we help with). It's great for audiences too, with no tickets more than £15 and many under a fiver or FREE. To contact The Greater Manchester Fringe please email us [email protected]

A new term of WriteForTheStage courses starts next week. If you're interested, we have two new levels:

The First 10 Pages looks at honing the opening action to give you a better chance of breaking through the 10-page sift at competitions. So, it's perfect for anyone who keeps getting 1st-stage competiton rejections. You can start a brand new play or work on one you've already started. Suitable for all levels.

Act 2 looks at Act 2 (obviously), moving from your inciting incident through the Rising and Falling action to ensure your plot remains tight and focused throughout the tricky middle. Obviously, this one is for people who have already started a play and might be struggling to continue it.

For more info, check out the articles I've written about both courses and the subjects we cover in the WriteForTheStage Blog:

writeforthestage.co.uk/blog

Act 2 starts Tuesday 31st March/First 10 Pages starts 1st April. Online, 7-9pm UK time.
