An update for everyone

The pitch hasn’t broke ground yet in terms of its renovation but we are aiming to be back by end of March / early April jus in time for the weather to improve.

4 slots at 7pm Tuesday
4 slots at 8pm Tuesday

Week in week out.

So get those boots ordered or check they’ve still got life in them because we will be back !!!

Season winners.
Mancunians won the championship going almost a full season unbeaten.

And The Old C**k - premier league winners 10 games and 10 wins.

Trophies and free beer was pot on by league owner Gareth McDonald.

Something I heard this week thought would be worth a share …..

“Just something to think about lads…

Why is it that some players think it’s perfectly fine to scream, swear and give abuse to a referee over a simple mistake — but those same people wouldn’t dream of shouting at a barmaid for giving them the wrong packet of crisps?

It’s the same principle: someone doing their job, doing their best, maybe making the odd error. Only difference is, one gets called every name under the sun — and the other gets a polite “don’t worry about it.”

Interesting that 🤔

Might be worth reminding our teams what respect really looks like on a Tuesday evening.

Refs are human. Let’s try and lead by example.

LEAGUE RULE

You CANNOT question the referee’s decision. Full stop.

Not shout. Not argue. Not sarcastically clap. Not mutter under your breath. Not laugh and shake your head at decisions. Not even ask why. Nothing.
Because here’s the truth: respect isn’t optional.

You might hear people say:
“That’s just football.”
As if bad behaviour, constant arguing, and intimidating refs is somehow part of the game.
Let’s be clear: it’s not.
That’s just bad habits. That’s just ego. That’s just rubbish we’ve all been taught to accept.

In our league, we’re building something different. A game where:
• The referee is trusted, not targeted.
• Players focus on football, not on tantrums.
• Everyone walks off the pitch with pride, not punishment.

If that sounds like your kind of football, then happy days.
If not, maybe it’s time to ask yourself why it doesn’t and what you are actually coming for.
