I am happy to announce the sign-up form for Stall-Holders! Anyone wishing to host a stall will need to fill out the form below.

There will be a fee for store holders that'll go towards charity (Specifics to be worked out after the Deadline).

Tickets MUST be purchased by this date.

Options can be submitted prior to ticket purchase, however without a ticket purchased by the deadline, your options will be invalid.

Is this thing on? It's taken us awhile to break through the firewall to get this message out but we've cracked it- it seems the Millenium Management Utility tech guys didn't think to actually put any defenses on here, something about "old websites" and "out of date interfaces"

Anyway...

It's official, the NSGRC is happening, again, and some corpo big-wig seems to think Manchester Met is the place to be. 12th - 13th of April, 2025 to be specific. Bunch of same old rubbish from the guys up top about opportunities, and company productivity, but we know what it's all about. Games, charity, and... games. There's ALOT of games.

Post on behalf of Josh Green, current treasurer for Sheffield, regarding refunds for the 2020 Nationals:

It is now possible to obtain a refund for any tickets bought for the 2020/2022 Student Nationals that was meant to be hosted at the University of Sheffield. You will be refunded between £22.50 and £25 per ticket depending on the total number of tickets required to be refunded, as some of the money spent on the event wasn’t refunded by the companies who were meant to supply materials and services for the event.

To receive a refund you need to fill out one of the two forms below - one of them is for Societies/Groups and the other is for Individuals. The forms will be open until December 31st 2022.

The forms will then be processed and the money sent out by the end of January 2023. We ask if you bought tickets through a captain, society or group you get the captain, society or group committee to fill in the Society/Group form and arrange your refund through them if possible.

All money remaining after the refund process will be donated to this year’s upcoming Student Nationals to help with the running of the event.

Hello! DURPS Nationals 2023 head dev here - Nationals and DURPS veteran Bradley Doherty is running a Star Wars one shot online next Saturday to help raise money for us hosting Nationals in Dundee next year! The system will be West End Games' D6 Star Wars, because that's still the best system to use to roleplay in a galaxy far, far away....

Tickets £5, game will start at 7pm and be hosted on the Student Nationals 2023 discord server.

A brief summary of today's meeting:
1. Nationals 2022 is cancelled, and Sheffield will not be hosting in 2023
2. The host for Nationals 2023 will be decided by a bid system. Each University who wishes to host is permitted to put forwards one bid. Teams can join together to make a bid, but no team may be part of more than one bid. Each team is allowed one vote, but may not vote for a bid they are a part of. 3. We are offering full refunds. Details to follow on how these will be distributed, but regular updates will begin from March 6th.

Hello, everyone, in response to the concerns that have been raised we will be hosting a meeting on the 20th of February (this Sunday) from 6pm. It will be held in the Nationals Organisation 2022 Discord general chat, please reply here if you need access and I will message you an invite. It will be open to anyone who wishes to attend, but a summary will be posted here after it has finished. The agenda will be as follows:

Hi everyone

This is an update post for you all because we are aware that we have been getting a lot of comments and queries, both here and on discord, and while we won't be able to answer all of them here, we hope to at least bring you up to speed as much as we can.

First of all, refunds. Please know that they are at the top of our priority list, and we are still working on them as best as we can. There are a lot of circumstances outside of our control that meant we weren't able to get them out to you when we said we would, and for that we can only apologise. We are working on it as hard as we can to get them to you.

Second, in being as open and transparent with you as possible, I'm afraid to say it is highly unlikely that we will be able to run the event on the dates we had originally planned. Similar to the refunds, there are situations and events that have made this impossible, and we will most likely be postponing the event, with dates to come as soon as possible. I understand that this is short notice, and I understand that this will be an inconvenience for a few of you, and we are really sorry for this. Please know this was not a decision that was taken lightly, and was taken from the perspective of organisation, finance and the committee's ability to run the nationals effectively and safely for all.

We really appreciate your patience and your support, especially in these frustrating circumstances. We will let you know as soon as we have anymore updates and information.

NATIONALS 2022 ANOUNCEMENT

Hi everyone! Some of you may have already heard this announcement through your captains, but we are aware that there are many people who might not have done but, we have some exciting news!

We have a Nationals this year! The date is set for 22nd-24th April 2022.

Further to our dice supplier going out to business, this unfortunately means that we cannot offer full refunds without impacting the donation we would make from the Nationals 2022. As soon as I can give money back I will be in touch with further details. We will be refunding miniatures at their full price, but tickets will only receive approximately £18 in returns. Tickets won't be able to be carried over, unfortunately.

Our projected timeline is that we will announce categories mid-January, but ticket sales will commence early February, as we don't expect people to buy tickets until they are refunded and this could take time.
