From medieval walls and hidden Tudor fireplaces to hand-carved four-poster beds, original oak beams and rooms filled with pieces we’ve collected, rescued and restored ourselves, every corner of Stone Court House has been brought back to life with care, love and more than a little determination.

And someone did bother. We did.

Every beam, every carved detail, every fireplace and original feature you see in this building was here when we found it. Buried under years of neglect inside a derelict Georgian townhouse in the heart of Maidstone that most people had given up on.

We did not give up on it. And what you are looking at now is the result of that.

This building has been here for 700 years and every corner of it has a story. We made it our mission to find every single one of them, protect them, and bring them back to life. Years of work. An enormous amount of money. More late nights than we care to remember.

Stone Court House. A Grade II* listed Georgian townhouse in the heart of Maidstone. Medieval walls, a restored Gothic window, an ebony and ivory staircase you cannot replicate, and seven rooms that each tell their own piece of a 700 year story.

We are Saban and Belinda and a few years ago we purchased this building as a derelict shell. Most people thought we were mad. We thought it was the most beautiful thing we had ever seen. What you are looking at now is the result of years of restoration, late nights, early mornings, and a genuine love for this place and everything it represents.
