For our David Thornby 10k proceeds will be going to heartofkenthospice in his memory. Donations can be given on the day.
We will be doing a minutes silence before the race starts as a mark of respect.

📣 Been inspired by last Sundays London Marathon. Or just want a little race to kick start your running. Think no further . . .
3 reasons to sign up to our first race of the year . . .

1. In MEMORY of David Thornby. Much loved by family, a dear friend to many and part of the Harrier family since the club began. The race was renamed as it was a route he came up with. It means we can remember him In the greatest way possible 💚 so do something he loved and run in memory of him 🙌🏻

2. CAKE 🧁 the race will take place at Little Fant Farm. A family run little cafe and farm. They were finalists in the KM food and drink awards 2026. Top 3 cafes in Kent 👏🏻 Best homemade cakes for after the race.

3. MEDAL🥇 best one yet . . . Stay tuned 👀 If you have got the last two you need a 3rd 😉

We are renaming the Maidstone Harriers 10k as a tribute to club legend David Thornby who passed away on 30th June.

Dave designed the course for this race and will be hugely missed.

One month to go until our 10k race on the 15th June and we are excited to reveal the medal. Featuring Nigel the pig from who you can meet if you come along 😀 and our club sponsors a well established family run business (the oldest family run shoe shop in the uk).

It is a fantastic location and a lovely family run business with a coffee shop (yummy cakes 🍰) and a little farm with lots of animals to see so great for everyone . . . Fantastic way to celebrate father’s day 😉.

We would love you to come and join us whether you are a competitive runner or new to running, it is a great course with lots of cheer support from the Harriers along the way.

After the fantastic success of the new Maidstone Harriers 10k in 2024, we are back at Little Fant Farm in 2025 for what promises to be an even better event.
