World Harvest Festival proudly presents…
In this video, we’re excited to share with you a glimpse of our preparations for the festival—behind the scenes you’ll see the energy, creativity and dedication that make this event so special.
And as you can already tell, there’s so much to look forward to!
But no less important is the music that will guide and inspire us.
We are honoured to have the extraordinary British composer Professor Adam Gorb once again with us.
He is not only the musical heartbeat of our festival, but also a source of warmth and support to each and every participant.
This year, Adam has gone even further by composing a brand-new theatre-musical piece especially for our festival.
Adam Gorb’s musical journey is remarkable. He began composing at just ten years old, and by his teenage years his piano pieces were already being broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
A graduate of Cambridge University and the Royal Academy of Music, where he was awarded the Principal’s Prize with highest honours, Adam later became Head of the School of Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music (2000–2023).
His works have gained worldwide acclaim. From his wind band masterpiece Metropolis (winner of the Walter Beeler Memorial Prize in the USA), to award-winning compositions such as Towards Nirvana, Adrenaline City and Farewell—Adam has firmly established himself as one of the leading contemporary voices.
His operas, including Anya 17 and The Path to Heaven, have been performed across Europe, the UK and the USA.
We are deeply grateful for his commitment—this is already his second year with us—and for the unique music he has created for our festival.
Adam is more than a composer: he is a generous, attentive and inspiring collaborator, making our creative work truly unforgettable.
