At LYIFF we love to inspire the next generation of filmmakers - and especially allowing our visiting talent to pass on their wisdom.

Last year, Rebecca Rose brought her powerful short The Removed (featuring Call the Midwife's Georgie Glen) to the festival. We get to welcome her back for 2026, not just with her new film Grain, but also as a Masterclass speaker.

This is going to be a *guaranteed* LYIFF highlight. We're thrilled to welcome the Fylde Coast's own Ryan Green to deliver his Life of a Stunt Performer workshop at this year's festival.

He's worked on many Marvel Studios films, House of the Dragon, Project Hail Mary and so many other recognisable productions, and over the course of this workshop, Ryan will profile just what it takes to become a stunt performer within film & TV.

Audiences at our sister Lancashire Film Network event CineWyre Film Festival loved this workshop when he delivered it in February, and it's set to be one of the events of the entire festival weekend.

What a journey it has been. Since submissions opened, our jury have seen a record breaking number of films for our biggest festival ever - and the time has now come to select our final Programme.
