Norwich Vikings MX Club The official home of the Norwich Viking MX Club. The Norwich Viking MCC team is constantly updating facilities for both riders and spectators.

History

Cadders Hill, Lyng is a natural hillside motocross circuit, primarily sand based, without too many man made obstacles. It is nonetheless a spectacular, physically demanding motocross venue that has witnessed many titanic battles for championship points. The Norwich Vikings have been organizing motorcycle events at the Cadders Hill venue since 1936. Originally the venue was used for hillcl

imbs. After the war they ran what were known as mountain grasstracks until the circuit became too rough and from 1949 onwards they switched to scrambles. Club President, Dennis Slaughter MBE, started competing there in 1948 and has been involved in one capacity or another ever since and still spends much of his time maintaining the track. Lyng was one of the venues for the Grandstand Television Trophy scrambles in the late 60s; it also hosted a 125cc Grand Prix in 1993 and has been running British Championship events for over 30 years. The Cadders Hill track is situated one mile North of the A1067 Norwich to Fakenham Road, or three miles from the A47 Norwich to King’s Lynn Road and is signposted from these major roads on the day of the event. We are really pleased to announce that the land owners, Mr & MRS Bird have agreed to relax the “No Dogs” rule for a trial period of 12 months providing that dogs are kept on a lead at ALL times. Will all riders, families & visitors to Lyng please help us enforce this rule or it will be withdrawn and we could lose more riders and spectators.

We’re ready to welcome you back 💪

In just over two weeks, we host Round 4 of the Eastern Centre Motocross Championship here at Cadders Hill.

Following an incredible day at the British Championship, the track has been fully prepped and is looking spot on for another big weekend of racing.

We can’t wait to see you all back at Lyng for another great day of racing
