We are delighted that Lyme Morris will be returning once again to perform at this year’s Fossil Festival! T. Rex Lymeosaurus will be once again joining the group parading along the seafront. They will be performing on Sunday afternoon - watch out for them to meet Lymeosaurus and Bubbles the seahorse and join in with a dance!

Don't miss the Lyme Bay Moonrakers at this year's Fossil Festival!

Founded in 2020 by Musical Director Mark Hewitt, Lyme Bay Moonrakers is a vocal group of 20 men and women from the Lyme Regis area. The group sing mainly unaccompanied songs of the sea, in bold, new musical arrangements. Folksongs, ballads and shanties, as well as new original songs, feature in their pop-up performances and yearly theatre shows. Their first cd ‘Songs for the Wellerman’ was released in 2022. Catch the Moonrakers on the seafront on Saturday 13th June between 2-3pm.

Don’t forget to drop by the Jubilee Pavilion at this year’s Fossil Festival! Inside you will find Stori Brymbo and The Palaeontological Association, who will be bringing fascinating displays, activities and opportunities to explore the prehistoric world.

Stori Brymbo will also be offering something very special - a live link to an active excavation, giving visitors the chance to connect directly with a dig and discover more about palaeontology in action.

We're so excited to be attending Lyme Regis Fossil Festival again this year! We'll be up in the big marquee in Lister Gardens. We'll be demo-ing our air pens, as well as bringing a stash of fossil prep consumables. The atmosphere and buzz at this event is like no other, so if you're on the fence, let us persuade you that it will be a fantastic weekend.

It's the perfect opportunity to try your hand at fossil prep - either bring your own fossil or use some of ours!

We will be giving a talk at 3pm on Saturday 13th entitled 'Fossil Prep 101' alongside Emanya Fossil Prep, as part of a session in honour of palaeontologist Richard Forrest.

A reminder that during the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival on 13th & 14th June, children will go for FREE at Lyme Regis Museum and there will be a reduced entry price of £2 for adults.

Explore the world-famous Geology Gallery, home to incredible fossils from the Jurassic Coast, including spectacular marine reptiles and fascinating prehistoric finds. Learn about the life and work of Mary Anning, whose discoveries changed our understanding of the ancient world! There will also be new exhibitions and creative workshops taking place throughout the weekend and the ever-popular shop stocked with Fossil Festival merchandise, fossil-themed toys, books and unique gifts!
