The British Team are sending a team of six to give the maximum number of pilots vital international competition experience. These pilots join the core group who encourage other women to glide and to improve their gliding skills. But the team only get funding for four pilots so they are fundraising to help cover the gap and make it affordable for all. Building on the huge success of WWGC2022, 🤩we are very excited that Gliding has been awarded funding from the CAA/DfT Reach for the Sky Challenge Fund to help us run a national programme to inspire people traditionally less likely to get involved in aviation and engineering. The BGA Go Gliding programme will seek out and inspire people from under-represented groups - women, ethnic minorities, those from disadvantaged backgrounds etc - showcasing gliding and the wide range of aviation & STEM career opportunities.

We're now looking for a programme manager to lead the delivery of these events through the coming year. Click below to find out more about this great chance to make a difference!
