Hi folks,

Ahead of next Saturday's Midsummer Mortimer Trail race, and as part of our membership of the Mortimer Trailblazers, Harriet Dearden, Benjamin Silvey and I had fun clearing the long, tricky overgrown section from Wapley Hill Fort down to Byton.

There is one more notoriously overgrown section north of Kington that remains, but this is being tackled by more members of the Trailblazers on Tuesday.

It promises to make for good progress, and the work makes it much easier to see the exposed tree routes and rocks

Midwinter Mortimer Trail entries are now open! 📣

The sister to our summer event, the Midwinter Mortimer Trail is back this December and will consist of beautiful forests and road runs between the historic market towns of Ludlow and Kington.

Choose between:
❄️ The Mortimer Trail Ultra - 30 miles, 1,351m of elevation
❄️ The Mortimer Croft Half - 17 miles, 802m of elevation

One trail, two stunning routes and the perfect post-Christmas activity.

Dobby's 'Friday' Tuesday Adventure.

A gentle recce of the last 14 miles of the Mortimer Trail from Aymestrey to Ludlow, with Harriet Dearden​, Dobby, and Otto. Also dropping off Residents' Letters.

Just over 5 hours today and 6 hours last week, doing the first 17 miles from Kington to Aymestrey.

It is always such a lovely route, and we can't wait to host the Midsummer Mortimer Trail race in two weeks' time.
