😢 We’re really sorry to share that Little Seagulls Children’s Theatre Festival will not be going ahead in 2026.

After two fantastic years of providing free entertainment for local children and families, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to pause the festival this year. Due to scheduling challenges on the Royal Green and funding constraints, it hasn’t been possible to deliver the event to the standard the community deserves.

Putting on a festival like this involves significant costs beyond the professional acts, including site hire, staging, equipment, insurance, security, and essential infrastructure. Unfortunately we have not been able to secure the support needed for 2026.

The good news is that we fully intend to bring the festival back in 2027.

�To help make this possible, we’ll be running fundraising events throughout the year.
📅 1 August 2026 — Family Day at The Seagull Theatre�This was originally the planned festival date, and while the outdoor event won’t be taking place, we’ll be hosting a fun family day at The Seagull Theatre instead. More information will be announced later in the year.

Lowestoft Carnival was voted Best Festival in Suffolk! We also came second in the whole of East Anglia!!

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible effort and support of the Lowestoft community, our 2025 Carnival has been voted the Best in Suffolk, and we even came second across the whole of East Anglia! 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, attended, and cheered us on. This event truly wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing community. 🎈

🎉That’s a wrap on our festival and carnival weekend.

Thank you to all those that supported us! Little Seagulls was pure joy, and Lowestoft Carnival was community spirit.

Our gift to you is the nostalgia we remember from events like this in our childhood, and new memories and traditions made for the little ones that smiled and waved at the floats today, and sat and enjoyed our shows yesterday.
