Have you seen Alex’s fantastic feature in the June issue of the Suffolk Magazine?
Eat the World focuses on four of the amazing Street Food vendors that will be trading with us at Taste of East Anglia Food & Drink Festival on June 13th - TIKKA TONIC, PECK Fried Chicken, Beats & Beigels and Kokorozashi UK.
It’s easy to think these guys are just ‘ flippin’ a burger ‘ but actually, behind them all is a fascinating story of not just hard work, resilience and dream chasing but of world wide travel, top class cheffing, Masters Degrees and opening restaurants in Hong Kong.
It’s a gorgeous read that glimpses through the curtain into the world these guys have come from and it makes working with them all, just that little bit more special.
Grab a copy, have a read and then come and meet all four all of them at The Taste of East Anglia Food and Drink Festival on Saturday June 13th.

Tickets for the festival are available to buy now directly via the website at www.tasteofeastanglia.co.uk/book-tickets/

Michelle Gillot of Chocolate Shells is one of the UK’s top pastry chefs having honed her skills in renowned kitchens like the prestigious Midsummer House Restaurant in Cambridge where her innovative approach to patisserie helped the restaurant secure its second Michelin star in 2005.
Michelle has become a sought after expert in modern cookery known for combining cutting edge techniques with culinary artistry. We are privileged to welcome her back, for a second year, to the Taste of East Anglia when she will be baking the most perfect Raspberry & Rose Cakes.
This really is a very special opportunity to witness the skills of one of the UK’s top pastry chefs, to ask any questions you may have, to taste, what will be, without doubt, the best Raspberry & Rose cake ever AND to be in with the chance of winning one of these incredible cakes to take home with you!

Your admission ticket gives you access to all the demos throughout the day and you can come and go as you like. Michelle will be on stage at 4pm so make sure you book your ticket soon.

📢📢HOT OFF THE PRESS!
This year our Kitchen Theatre stage is kindly sponsored by Wine and Dine and Burnt House Vineyard and on Saturday June 13th, at midday, you'll be able to enjoy a delicious live Cooking Demo by Alison Crouch, Co Founder of Wine and Dine.
Alison has over 35 years experience working in teaching cookery, nutrition and food hygiene, running restaurants, writing books and broadcasting on TV and Radio.
On stage she will be cooking a Farrotto (think risotto but with grains not rice) using English emmer, spelt and rye from the fabulous, Suffolk based Hodmedod with amazing mushrooms from Sporadic Fungi (who have a stall at the festival), lots of fresh herbs from Herbal Haven (who also have a stall at the event!) and Suffolk's very own Baron Bigod from Fen Farm Dairy.
Alison's partner `in wine’ is Vino expert, broadcaster and author, Ian Erridge. He has over 25 years experience in the wine industry and is an enthusiastic advocate of English wine, especially from East Anglia. He is going to be pairing Alison's dish with a Burnt House Vineyard Précoce; an earlier-ripening Pinot Noir bursting with aromas of ripe red cherry, blackberry and plum.

So grab your seat inside the Kitchen Theatre stage at midday on Saturday June 13th and immerse yourself in a match made in heaven - entrance to the demo area is all part of the general ticket price which we strongly advise you book in advance directly via the website - https://www.tasteofeastanglia.co.uk/book-tickets/

Over the years, since 2016, we've had the privilege of hosting some of Suffolk's finest chefs on the Kitchen Theatre stage at the Taste of East Anglia.

A young Wooster's and dad took to the stage for many years enlightening many about the power of sourdough!
Greg Strolenberg of Lavenham Butchers has used the event to spread the word about the benefits of having venison in our diet, whilst chopping up a muntjac live on stage!
We've learnt all about foraging from Carl Shillingford, butchering skills from the team at Hollow Trees Farm and gluten free baking from Moo Moo Cakes and all have been perfectly compered originally by the wonderful late Mark David and more recently John Jackaman of ICE Restaurant - Cook School - Development Kitchen.
This year on Saturday, June 13th, we welcome back favourites James Carn, Owner Chef of LARK Restaurant , Lee Cooper of Hintlesham Hall Hotel and Greig Young, Executive Chef at The Bildeston Crown.
We are also super chuffed that both Mike Warner of A Passion for Seafood and Michelle Gillot of Chocolate Shells are joining us for a second year and it's exciting to welcome Adam Spicer, Head Chef at The Greyhound Inn, Pettistree.
And finally, our fabulous Kitchen Theatre sponsors, Wine and Dine will be taking to the stage at midday to hold a live cooking demo paired with a selection of fabulous wines from Burnt House Vineyard.

Cooking Demos are all free to attend and you can come and go as you like.
We advise that you buy your admission tickets in advance of the day which can be done simply by visiting the website - https://www.tasteofeastanglia.co.uk/book-tickets/
