The International Symposium on Performance Science (ISPS) is a biennial meeting of performers and scientists that provides a platform to discuss and debate all facets of performance and the skills which underpin it. The first ISPS was convened in Porto in 2007; ISPS 2009 was held in Auckland, ISPS 2011 in Toronto, ISPS 2013 in Vienna, ISPS 2015 in Kyoto, ISPS 2017 in Reykjavík, and 2019 in Melbourne. ISPS 2021 will take place in Montreal, hosted by McGill University and its Schulich School of Music.
