Lauderdale House is full of different pieces of history, including one which greets you in the front of our Entrance Hall.

Above the entrance's marble fireplace you'll find the restored plaster bas-relief. This was most likely commissioned by Lauderdale House resident James Yates around 1850.

The artwork represents a scene from the first book of Homer's Iliad: the quarrel between Achilles and King Agamemnon, resulting in Achilles parting with his girlfriend Briseis.

Come visit us during our gallery opening hours to see more of the gorgeous features within Lauderdale House.

Experience beautiful Highgate and connect with new people at Holly Lodge Community Centre's first Community Walk this Thursday 21 May at 11am 🌷

Community Walks are a way for local residents to meet others and make new friends, all while getting some fresh air and taking in the picturesque neighbourhood. We're excited to be working with Holly Lodge on the creation of this programme, with funding by Camden Council.

There are two walk routes, both starting and ending at Holly Lodge Community Centre (N6 6HL). The shorter walk is suitable for all abilities and wheelchair friendly, and the longer walk will venture farther into Waterlow Park. Both routes end at the community centre with tea and coffee available.

For more information, visit the Community Walks webpage here: https://hollylodgecc.co.uk/community-walks/

We hope to see you there!
