Yorkshire Festival of Cycling The Yorkshire Festival of Cycling takes place on 4-6 July 2014 at Harewood House, location of the Official Ceremonial Start of the 2014 Tour de France

Activities include: unique led-rides to other vantage points on the Tour route, individual and team time-trials, duathlons, family rides, criteriums and trail running (all delivered by Human Race, the UK’s largest mass participation events company). Attractions include: live music & comedy on a central stage, concerts, giant screens showing everything from live Tour de France action to World Cup f

ootball, a huge shopping expo, inspirational talks during A Night of Adventure (on cycling, of course!), hospitality, an interactive BMX stunt-zone, tipi cinemas, a 1,000 seater cycle cinema showing films including a public world premiere, an inflatable assault course, a climbing wall, a bungee run, speed-shot football, lazer quest, a 2-acre army activities zone, bespoke mountain bike and family cycling trails.

WINNER OF THE CANYON BIKE PHOTO COMPETITION:

Film producer David Lascelles and Exhibitions Curator Diane Howse, Earl and Countess of Harewood chose their favourite photo and therefore the winner of a Canyon Road Bike!

CONGRATULATIONS to Steve Rideout (a very apt name!) for this winning photo that the Earl and Countess of Harewood thought was 'witty, original and technically strong.'

We asked film producer David Lascelles and Exhibitions Curator Diane Howse, Earl and Countess of Harewood, to judge the Canyon Photography Competition that we ran in the lead up to the Festival. We are very grateful to them for agreeing to do so and have great pleasure in announcing the runners-up:

The flypast by the Red Arrows was one of the biggest highlights at the Ceremonial Start of the at the Festival of Cycling! The historic & moving Battle of Britain Memorial Flight was truly impressiv too -only 250 feet above the ground! What's your best moment of the weekend?
