I would like to sincerely thank you for the invitation to judge the Latin and ballroom dance competition in Birmingham.

My sincere thanks go to and to Birmingham Dancesport (BALADS) for inviting me to judge this wonderful event.

I would also like to thank my fellow judges ,Samantha Powers ,Geraint Heaney with whom I had the pleasure of sharing the dance floor. You were all fantastic 😉
The atmosphere was truly exceptional, and it was a pleasure to see so many talented young dancers. It was clear that each of them enjoyed every minute spent on the dance floor.

Huge congratulations to all the dancers and the organisers. It was a very successful day and truly time well spent.

We have begun the new year on a roll, with the first competition of 2026 already complete!

What an incredible way to start the year! ✨

Champions of Tomorrow 2026 in Blackpool, held from Friday to Sunday, was an unforgettable ballroom dance event and truly one of the biggest competitions of the season. The atmosphere, the level of dancing, and the scale of the event made it a truly special experience.

Our dancers performed brilliantly, achieving outstanding results and securing top placements in the finals.
We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, passion, and determination — starting the year with such high results means everything to us.
I’m pleased to see so many popular events, where four rounds was not unusual, and with so much talent on display

This was the first major ballroom dance event of the year, and it set the bar incredibly high. We are grateful to have been part of it and can’t wait for what the rest of the season will bring! 💃🕺✨

This year’s Blackpool Grands Finals was a milestone 25th anniversary of the event and it was indeed a very special occasion.

It’s not often I can say I danced with my students to the Empress Orchestra in the Empress Ballroom in front of 25 esteemed judges - but that’s exactly what happened and it was an unforgettable experience.

My students made multiple finals and I am very proud of their achievements over this past year.

Thank you to Nick Miles and the whole team for the immense amount of work, planning and creativity put into bringing this event to life and making it happen.
