📌Plumstead Common, Saturday 6th June 2026 , 12-6pm The Plumstead Make Merry is the longest-running community festival in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Each year, around 10,000 people come along to enjoy a packed day of music, arts and activities that celebrate the history of the area and its diverse community. Join us at The Bandstand, the main performance area, for music

and dance performances, or sit down and relax in the Acoustic Cafe, enjoying some tea and cake while listening to our acoustic and spoken word acts. With around 90 different stalls from local groups and businesses, there is plenty on offer including food and activities for all the family. Contact us on [email protected]

Plumstead Make Merry is Greenwich borough’s longest running community festival. The event is organised and run by volunteers. ⚽️ Teviot Rangers at Plumstead Make Merry! ⚽️

This year at the Plumstead Make Merry, local grassroots club Teviot Rangers JFC will be sharing football skills, fun activities and coaching tips with children and families from across the community.

Young people will also have the chance to learn from academy players from Chelsea FC and Millwall FC, helping inspire the next generation both on and off the pitch.

Based in Plumstead, Teviot Rangers has built a reputation for using football to develop confidence, teamwork and resilience. The club has also recently been involved in work alongside the The Football Association and wider football partners to help address harmful online influences affecting young people, including toxic masculinity and “manosphere” content, promoting positive role models and healthy attitudes instead.

Come along, get involved, and see how football can bring communities together.

As our Family Zone Sponsor for 2026, we’re delighted to share some exciting news!

From 1st September, TT2 will be moving to South Rise Primary School, where Top Tots Day Care will become the provider of the Nursery provision.

Top Tots is a trusted local provider with four settings across Royal Greenwich and Kent, offering high-quality, year-round care for pre-school children and younger. Following a thorough selection process, South Rise Primary School is delighted to welcome Top Tots as its Nursery provider.

The Top Tots team is looking forward to welcoming families into their community. Families are welcome to visit one of their settings, with the closest located at East Plumstead Baptist Church, Griffin Road.

🎭🥁 Carnival comes to Plumstead Common!🥁 🎭

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that TARU Arts have joined the Workshop Tent line-up at Plumstead Make Merry this weekend!

Even more exciting, this will be their very first Make Merry, and we can’t wait to welcome Rudy and the team to the festival.

Get ready to make some noise as TARU Arts lead their famous Drum Circle Workshops at **1:00pm** and **3:15pm**. These energetic, interactive sessions are open to everyone – young and old, complete beginners and seasoned drummers alike. Come along, join in, and feel the rhythm!

Many of you will already know TARU as the team behind Woolwich Carnival. Since 2003, this Woolwich-based non-profit arts and education organisation has been bringing communities together through music, dance, art and performance. Their “Learn as You Play” approach has inspired thousands of children and adults through school workshops, community programmes, Brazilian drumming, capoeira, environmental projects and much more.

Rudy and the TARU team will be around all day, so come and say hello, find out more about their incredible work, and hear what’s planned next for Woolwich Carnival.

This weekend, join us for the **51st Plumstead Make Merry** and enjoy a fantastic afternoon of live music, dance, spoken word, community performances and family entertainment.

From **Plumcroft Voices Choir** opening the stage at 12:10 to **Indigo Alpha** closing the celebrations at 17:35, we’ve got an incredible programme showcasing the very best of our local talent.
