Call out for submissions - A Season of Bangla Drama 2026
Curious About Curiosity!

Do you want to take part in this fantastic and unique annual festival of theatre? Tower Hamlets Council’s Arts, Park and Events Team will once again be delivering A Season of Bangla Drama in November 2026, and we welcome Expressions of Interest which can be submitted at any time from now until Tuesday 24 February 2026, 10am.

As ever, we are seeking new writing for this month-long festival, and the theme for this year is ‘curiosity’. This can be a strong desire to know, a pursuit of or to learn something. Being curious can mean asking open-ended questions, embracing a beginner’s mind, making time for exploration, reflecting on interests, and creating safe spaces for inquiry. We seek plays that explore and celebrate the curious mind: why, what if, and how we embrace the unknown with openness and wonder.

We will be hosting an online and in person session at the Brady Arts Centre to explore the theme in late January/early February 2026 – date to be confirmed, so watch this space.
