Join us for an evening talk and book signing with photographer Bashar Tabbah, as he shares his work documenting life in the Old City of Jerusalem and the journey behind his recent publication, Between Moments.

Through intimate never seen before photography and personal reflection, the book explores everyday life, memory, and resilience within the historic streets of Jerusalem. All proceeds from Between Moments are dedicated to fundraising for Medical Aid for Palestinians, supporting vital medical and humanitarian aid for Palestinians.

We invite you to a special screening of Beyond the Lies, a powerful and deeply moving documentary examining the November 2019 protests in Iran and the state violence that unfolded under the cover of an internet blackout.

Through official state media footage, archival material, witness testimonies, and the regime’s own language, the film exposes how power constructs narratives, conceals violence, and attempts to erase collective memory. Rather than relying on external commentary, Beyond the Lies turns directly to the images and words produced by the state itself, revealing the contradictions, silences, and mechanisms of denial embedded within them.

Directed by Mahnaz Mohammadi, Beyond the Lies is a meditation on censorship, testimony, memory, and the struggle to preserve truth when violence is deliberately hidden from view.

What and where is Western Sahara, Africa’s last colony, and why do we know so little about it?
Western Sahara is the homeland of the Saharawi people, who have been displaced from their land since 1975 following the Moroccan invasion and ongoing occupation.

We aim to explore the struggle of the Saharawi people and the striking parallels with the Palestinian struggle for liberation - including shared histories, forms of oppression and resistance, and a global system that continues to enable the two occupations. During the evening, you will also have the opportunity to hear directly from Saharawis living in Western Sahara (under Moroccan occupation) and from the Saharawi refugee camps in Tindouf, Algeria, as well as UK-based activists.

Profits will go to the UK-based charities Sandblast and Growing Hope (Western Sahara Support Group), supporting Saharawis in the refugee camps.

From the bottom of all our hearts, here at Hiba Express and Palestine House, we want to thank you all for what you brought to us last night.

The enforcement officer, her locksmith and electrician welcomed themselves to Hiba Express at 9am on Friday. They did not leave until 5am on Saturday morning. 19 hours of intimidation tactics and very bad manners.

The enforcement officer said she represented Maxen Power and when asked what her mission was - she said, to shut us down permanently. Her mission to disconnect us from the electricity supply .... that Maxen Power had disconnected us from late summer 2025. Hours of sitting, investigating Hiba Express, Palestine House and McDonald’s for a power supply that does not exist.

We pointed out that we were running on a generator. In her desperation to shut us down, she decided she was going to take the generator. We pointed out that the generator was not in the warrant. She still wanted the generator.

Why?

Because it was promised to her 3000 years ago.

BUT you did not buy the narrative.

You brought us conviction.

You brought us solidarity.

You brought us strength.

You brought us love.

You brought us time.

A solution was agreed by the UK Power Network and Police and we are working on getting this done as we have invited these officials back to inspect.

But. We. WON.

From those who reached out from the support group on WhatsApp and came and sat with us from early afternoon.

The lovely A* who spearheaded more supporters as the situation escalated but also understood and responded immediately when we asked to stop sending people without questioning why.

And the multitude of journalists and photographers who came and documented the 19 hours and saw and heard for themselves what we are facing from from so called official bodies.

Those who stood for the long hours till 5am and watched the sun rise brilliantly as a new day began and we waved the enforcement officer and her locksmith farewell to the banging tune - Liar.

We won the battle but the war is still in front of us. Our unity and strength is our weapon and they will never defeat us.

Join us for an evening supporting Palestinian Game Developer 👾

Dreams on a Pillow follows a Palestinian mother attempting to flee Palestine to Lebanon during the 1948 Nakba.

Rasheed has brought history and reality to a platform that this generations young people are most influenced by. Whilst the enemy treats our land and people as if it’s their own game. This game comes with intention, depth and education - our history, stories and existence will not be erased.

Rasheed requires further support to help complete the production of Dreams on a Pillow.

The evening will feature a game play of Rasheed’s previous game, a film screening and an online talk and Q&A with Rasheed.
