At Oi we seek to connect vendors, decision-makers and everyone who wants to learn more about the industry. Our conference programme this year included "Policy, Innovation and Skills for the Future of Coastal and Maritime Infrastructure Protection", bringing together leaders from government, industry and academia to discuss the future of coastal resilience and critical infrastructure.

During the conference, Fred Thomas, Member of UK Parliament, said:

"It was a pleasure to meet with companies such as Oshen, MSubs, Online Oceans, ACUA Ocean and Denatec Ltd, whose innovation and expertise demonstrate the capability that continues to drive our ocean sector forward and strengthen the UK’s position as a leading maritime nation.

It was incredible to see the exhibition floor at 2026 come to life, with innovative solutions, industry connection and product launches making it a marketplace with real impact.

What an incredible gathering of marine technology, innovation and collaboration we witnessed at 2026!

The people, the energy, the networking and the ground-breaking advancements we saw across three days made it one to remember - and the numbers tell a similar story:

• 𝟭𝟱,𝟳𝟬𝟵 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, representing a remarkable 14% growth year on year
• Industry professionals travelling from 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟴𝟬 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀
• A 𝟱𝟬% 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, truly keeping the 'i' in Oi!

WSense showcased its fully wireless acoustic networking technology at 2026, highlighting how its Internet of Underwater Things platform, WCloud, enables real-time data transfer across large subsea environments without the need for cables.

"We can cover in real time a very large area with sensors, which is something that was not possible before." - Fabio Greco at WSense

Their approach was to addresses fundamental limitations in underwater communication, where radio waves are absorbed within centimeters and wired systems are impractical and difficult to scale.
