We are thrilled to announce some exciting news regarding the 15th Irish Film Festival London & Irish Film Awards.
We have been discussing moving the date of the Festival & Awards for some time now and the Board & Team of IFTUK have decided to hold the 15th Irish Film Festival London from the 27th to the 31st January 2027, with The Irish Film Awards taking place on the 1st February.
We will hold some special preview screenings and events in the in partnership with the Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith & The Century Club in November. The red-carpet gala opening night will take place at our regular venue, The Vue Cinema in Leicester Square on January 27th. The festival will roll out to cinemas culminating in the Irish Film Awards at the prestigious Century Club in Soho.
Derek Murphy has become IFTUK’s year-round Festival Director. Having been the Festival Director for IFTUK’s Pride Film Festival for the past two years & facilitating Masters At Work as well as heading Q-IFTUK, Derek was also the Presenter & MC at the 2025 Irish Film Awards.
In addition, IFTUK has appointed the highly experienced and respected Guest Curator/Director, Úna Langlois, for the 15th Irish Film Festival London.
Una co-founded and programmed the IndieCork Film Festival & is a regular participant on film juries globally. She was Film Programmer for the Kino Arthouse Cinema in Cork and Programmer for the Cork Film Festival. She co-curated collections of Irish short film for the international market at Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival. At the Green Ray Film Agency, she promoted Irish film to international festivals and co-founded the 13th Parish Jersey International Film Festival (Channel Islands) and has been Co-Director and Programmer since 2018.
