Gameweek 2 done and dusted and overall not the greatest showing from the 4 sides.
The 1s hosted and the bowling attack led by Ceddie restricted them to just 171. Viraj in his 100th 1s game with 55 (78) to anchor the chase and Owen with 54* (31) to seal the deal. Big 10 points in the bag for the 1s.
The 2s travelled to and were fielding first. Prits led the charge with 3-43 and he was backed up by Hashma’s 2 wickets. Unfortunately the batting never got going and it was another loss for the 2s.
The 3s travelled to and did well to keep them to 217. Youngster Zaki took 3 and Jams took 2. A top order collapse made the case difficult but Neelo and Jonny Rye dug in to@bring us close but ultimately it wasn’t enough.
The 4s hosted 5s and were bowled out for 121.l with Vinay Halai scoring 47. The bowlers showed real fight to bring us close as we only lost by 3 wickets. Raj Parmar took 4 and Dhiresh with 2. 4s also still looking for their first win of the campaign.
