Well the time has finally come to turn my latest screenplay into a short film. In order to do that I need the help of all you lovely friends out there! I've set up a PayPal pool for donations.
My latest film is a British urban drama short film (Title TBD) centred around a young teenage boy who comes from a Ghanaian immigrant family (single mother and younger sister) and their struggles to make ends meet in the harsh economic environment of London.
But, will this young teenager fight to make his dreams come true playing professional football and helping to take his family out of poverty or will be become just another victim of the rising youth gangs in London? A gripping, moral conflict ensues in this story.
I am aiming to raise Β£10,000 in 70 days. That's now until 15th September 2019 and hope to begin filming in the autumn. The money raised will go towards, camera/lighting equipment hire, location rental, costumes, food and transport for cast and crew as well as post production editing. Any remaining money will go towards international film festival entry fees and costs and social media.
Each donor will get a Thank You credit on the film and Imdb page for a Β£10 minimum donation. So if 1000 people donate Β£10 each we'll easily reach this achievable target. The more money donated by an individual, the more perks such as signed cast photographs and t-shirt etc. So spread the word! π
From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to say thanks for your support! Bringing a thought-provoking, hard-hitting drama to audiences is what I love to do. With your help I can achieve this. So let's do this!
