These photos are rehearsals, but they are also something else: confidence growing, friendships forming, English being practised, stories being reshaped, and a room full of people refusing to be reduced to headlines.

Ali in Wonder(Eng)land is created with participants from our Tottenham Project: free weekly theatre training for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers.

ALI IS BACK!!!
One of our most successful shows to-date - first presented in 2023 - will return in July shinier, punchier and funnier than ever!
We have a brand new cast but the same intention to satirise the absurdity of all immigration systems.

Ali in Wonder(Eng)land, is cocreated and performed by participants in our : free theatre classes open to anyone who's experienced migration, running weekly at

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, each performer brings their own experience of the system Ali must navigate: the doors that are always the wrong size, the crowd that decides what you are before you speak, the interview with no right answers, the people who want to help and make everything worse.
Carroll’s Wonderland was always about a world whose rules exist to exclude. This one just has better paperwork.

SAVE THE DATE!

If you're a resident don't miss the opportunity to attend hustings and ask your questions to candidates for the May local elections.
And of course we'll be there with a short piece of verbatim theatre inspired by testimonies of local residents.
