🔎 What would your favourite historical figure have Googled?

🖥️ From the Greeks to Guy Fawkes; we’ve had some fun imagining what some of history’s biggest characters might have typed into Google!

💡 Here’s a fun idea for getting children interested in history! Ask them what they think different historical figures would have Googled if Google had existed in their time. It could make a great little classroom game for next term!

🤔 Who else from history do you think could’ve benefited from Google? Let us know in the comments below! 👇

🤔 What did a recent school think about our Ancient Greek workshop?

🙏 Thank you very much to Katherine Wood for this for this wonderful feedback we recently received after actor Imogen visited St George’s Primary School in Battersea before the end of term to deliver our Ancient Greek Workshop!

🇬🇷 Within this engaging workshop, which like all of our workshops can take place both onsite or online, the children meet Goddess Athena to explore many areas of the Ancient iebt Greek topic, such as the ancient Olympic Games, the gods and goddess, myths and legends and much more!

🎭 Within this workshop, these themes are explored through improvisation, teamwork, song, role play and even acting out an Ancient Greek myth! What a fun way to embed learning!

🎭 Before the summer holidays, Jenna led our Pirate workshop online for children at Pendel Primary Academy, teaching this class a traditional sea shanty as part of the session!

Our Pirate workshop for Key Stage 1 children explores what piracy is, introduces children to famous pirates from history, teaches a sea shanty, and is packed with interactive drama games and role-play to bring history to life. It can be delivered online or onsite, making it a flexible way to support the primary history curriculum.

☀️ Which historical figure matches your summer plans?

🌞 We hope your summer holidays are off to a fantastic start! Whether you’re travelling, spending time with family or simply enjoying a well-earned rest, take our quick quiz to discover which famous figure you’re most like!

Here’s what your answers reveal:

🔹If you picked A– Howard Carter

You’re naturally curious and always up for an adventure. Whether you’re exploring a new city, wandering around a museum or heading off the beaten track, you love discovering something new.

🔹If you picked B– Emmeline Pankhurst

You’re confident, passionate and never afraid to speak your mind. You love bringing people together, stand up for what you believe in and make every summer memory count.

🔹If you picked C – Mary Anning

You notice the little things that everyone else misses. You’re thoughtful, observant and happiest when you’re outdoors, whether that’s collecting shells on the beach, exploring nature or simply slowing down and taking it all in.

🔹If you picked D- Samuel Pepys

You’re the storyteller of the group! You love making memories, sharing funny moments and you’ll probably have enough photos from this summer to write your own diary.
