Here’s to a sun filled two weeks in Portugal. Stunning wedding of course and the only person I’d chop all my hair off for. Squeezed into a tuxedo, danced my ass off, giggles galore, a few hills and hikes and of course A LOT of cake!! Take me back?

After 4 years of growing, it’s time to give the hair a chop! It’s all coming off!

Within the next few weeks I’d like to raise the £550 needed to turn my cut hair into a wig for the incredible so they can give it to someone who needs it much more than me!

Please give any spare change you can as it’s such a brilliant cause

🌟 GRATITUDE 🌟

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here, especially a gratitude slot for my . Not because I haven’t been feeling grateful but I’ve been actively doing more living in real life, physical spaces and less virtual. The last year has taught me a lot of lessons so today my list is all about the lessons I’m most grateful for in the last 12-18 months:

1. guilt free permission to LIVE! Less self-imposed pressure to tell everyone online what I am up to and more about living the experiences face to face without the camera lens being in the way.

2. Relishing in human connection. Whether that’s with the incredible family and friends around me that have reached out and checked on me regularly or the random encounters with newly made friends that have happened.

3. Enjoying the work that you do. Not just the specific tasks that are mine to do but the incredible team around me and delivering a service and product I’m proud to talk about.

4. Owning my emotional rawness and honesty. Expressing emotions that culturally we’re often not encouraged to do and doing it with bold confidence. On my dark days I’ve reached out, told people why I’m struggling and asked for help.

5. Being happy to say no. To things I just don’t want to give my energy too. Not a polite ‘delay tactic no’ that it’ll happen at some point but an outright ‘no, this isn’t something I want to put energy into’.

Have you got a list of things you are grateful for? Or learnings that you want to hold on to?

Sending hugs to any of you taking the time to read this and as always much love to my sister who I miss hugs from dearly and sparked my return to gratitude (whether she realises it or not)

🌟 New Chapter 🌟

This home is the first home that was mine. All my blood, sweat, tears and a heck of money poured into it. Every inch of it treated with love, care and affection.

As the time comes for this chapter to end and a new one to begin I remember all the stories and memories that 11 years here have given me. The laughter, the tears, the crazy and the normal.

It’s homed people overnight after nights out, after special occasions, birthdays, barbecues and family, friends and randoms when they’ve been in need of love, care and a roof over their head.

Whether it’s been for a night, weeks or in many cases months and years, every person it’s looked after has added to it.

Now the time has come to move on. So if you know anyone that might fancy this beauty and helping me on the next part of my journey just get them to reach out to me or pop on rightmove: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/80004759 #/

Ps. Thought I’d tag just a few of you that have made happy memories with me here!!

🌟 Remember 🌟

Do you remember those times you smooshed faces together so you could get that selfie?

The dancing on the dance floor in a room packed with people dropping with sweat?

The care free attachment to dancing with anyone. The freedom to kiss whoever you like as you’re single. The dodgy sticky floored toilets. The drinks from glasses looking dirty still.

The pranks, the jokes, the social silliness?

Sure, they’re not here right now but they’ll be back and how much more will you value them then?

Remember those moments because you’ll value their return so much.

Enjoy the memories because really that’s all we are. A bag full of memories and experiences.

Here’s to their return.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared gratitude in my usual so here’s to getting back to it regularly:

1- playing piano
2- watching Disney + (best platform)
3- making homemade sourdough pizza
4- leftover Christmas cheer
5- ridiculously curly hair

What’s your gratitude this week?

🌟 ENOUGH 🌟

Sometimes it’s just enough. Despite the ever faithful positivity, sometimes it’s just enough.

Sometimes the meditation isn’t enough. Sometimes the yoga isn’t enough. Sometimes martial arts isn’t enough. Sometimes running isn’t enough. Sometimes zoom isn’t enough.

Some days you just wake up and have had enough. That pit in the base of your tummy is filled with anxiety, depression, loneliness and isolation.

Sometimes the things you miss overwhelm you.

And that is in itself enough. Sitting with it. Having a day of just being is enough.

Today’s one of those days. They’ve been fewer than I expected to have during the last 12 months but when they do happen they’re deep. I try to sit. I try to move. I dress myself in my favourite clothes. I put contact lenses in to watch Netflix from my sofa. I do the little things that creep towards ‘normality’.

But if you’re at that point. Know you’re not alone. We’ve all had enough to varying degrees. Don’t run from it or hide it.

Inspired recently by so many to share my honest truth not just the Instagram friendly glossy one. Thanks to to name just a tiny few filling me daily with hope.

🌟 Curiosity 🌟

Sometimes there isn’t a defined process. Some things don’t have to look a certain way. Sometimes movement or exploration comes from the wiggles and wriggles as much as the instructions we’re sometimes given.

There’s something about being curious and moving in a way that’s intuitive that applies as much to a practice like yoga as it does to life. Playing. Exploring. Being curious. Learning.

What does your practice look like? What had it taught you?

🌟 Company 🌟

There’s something to be said for doing awesome activities, for going to amazing places.....but really it’s all about sharing those experiences.

The company you keep can make or break anything you do...and that’s why so many of us have found 2020 so tough.

Sure, we miss the things we used to do but really we miss the people we did them with. The giggles over brunch. Gossiping over lunch. One drink too many on a night out. Stumbling in to that random restaurant in a foreign city.

So here’s to all the crews, gangs, mates and buddies. The ones that eat with you, drink with you and explore with you. The ones that make you laugh and the ones you love to argue with.

Here’s a throwback to an awesome squad on an awesome night.

Who’s your squad of choice? Tag them below 👇🏻
