CELEBRATE SOUTH ASIAN HERITAGE MONTH WITH BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM

We have partnered with The Garden Cinema The Garden Cinema and are proudly supported by BFI FAN and the National Lottery to bring you Gurinder Chadha’s Bend It Like Beckham this July. And what a time to be screening this in the midst of football madness!

🎞️ The screening is part of the BFI FAN’s UK-wide season Rip it Up. Join us at The Garden Cinema for a fun-filled afternoon as this film takes us on a journey of football, following your dreams, defying stereotypes and rebelling against your parents. This film is also part of The Garden Cinema’s South Asian Heritage Month 2026, and there will be an activity after the movie for both kids and adults.

🎟️ Book your ticket and let’s all hang out during football season – taking place July 18th.

£5 for young people aged 12-18.
* children under 12 will not be permitted.

Gurinder Chadha’s Bend It Like Beckham will be preceded by a pre-recorded introduction by actress Pooja Shah and followed by an optional 30 minute Bollywood dance class in the Atrium Bar. Right everyone, it’s time to book! Join us this Friday to Sunday at the fabulous for an incredible Friday night and full weekend of film festival shorts screenings. Support new and upcoming filmmakers so we keep this industry alive with (cough cough not AI) real filmmaking, and pay our thanks to the people who work tirelessly to create a story that comes alive on the screen.

And this year we have everything - from talking socks and saucy robots, to mad Welshmen! You’re in for a treat.

We can promise you won’t be disappointed…or hell, you can even ask for your money back (we think the shorts are that good!).
