Meet Duncan Verry, Portfolio Director for Hyve's EdTech events: Bett Asia, Bett Global UK, Bett Brasil, and the ASU+GSV Summit in the US.

His career began in recruitment before moving into education – where he discovered a passion that led him to run an EdTech startup and, ultimately, to leading some of the most influential education events. That experience has shaped his belief that "it's very difficult for one person to change the world, but you can change the world for one person very easily."

Off the back of Bett Asia 2025, that belief continues to resonate – brought to life through educators, innovators and technology leaders who came together to accelerate learning, share ideas, and spark change across the region.

Pride at Hyve means showing up, standing tall, and being celebrated for your whole, authentic self.

While Pride Month gives us the platform to spotlight these moments, our commitment to inclusion, visibility and allyship continues all year round. From London to New York, our amazing Pryde team led the way.

🎶 We kicked things off in New York, where the Pryde Party took over a local LGBTQIA+ friendly bar – a night full of music, community and incredible vibes.

🌈 In London, we celebrated Pride in partnership with Microsoft, Ardagh Group and British Land, our Paddington Central neighbours. The Homoparody Q***r Collective lit up the space with quizzes, competitions and games.

🎨 We also hosted our party, with Homoparody returning to host a fabulous art auction. Every bid supported Just Like Us, an LGBT+ young people’s charity working with schools across the UK to help LGBT+ youth thrive. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the team raised £1,032, exceeding the target by 206% 🎉

Since joining Hyve in 2022 as Head of Event Operations, Hannah has grown her role, scaled her team, and stepped confidently into senior leadership, delivering high-impact experiences across three global shows.
