ABOUT CREATOR:
Ms Eugenia Pikulyk is a Ukrainian professional musician, music teacher and educator. She's holding a degree in Music Art, specialising in Violin and Flute Performance and Education. During her nine years of musical career she had an extensive experience of sharing music as a performer and teacher. Eugenia believes in transformative power of music as this is what changed her own life and what she observes in her teaching practice daily. Her teaching style is a combnation of creativity and deep analysis as she believes both technique and musicality are equally important for becoming an artist who can trully speak through his art.
She is also an active and passionate educator. She became a co-founder of Vivace Art Studio in her home-town Kyiv back in 2016. The studio quickly turned into creative community space gathering together kids, youth and adults and providing individual and group lessons, ensembles and orchestra, music theory and history classes. Its idea was to give opportunity to learn music to everyone regardless their background, age and ability.
Having one more degree as a Culturologist, Eugenia is an active organizer and leader of creative events, concerts, workshops and music camps. She was leading many art and cultural events as a creative director of Vivace Art Studio and she has a big experience of collaborating with other schools, studios, venues and organizations for creating performing and educational projects.
Apart from her music qualifications she's holding an inernationally recognized certification as a physical exercise expert (EQF Level 4) and is registered with international register of professionals EREPS. Having a deep knowledge of the anatomy of movement Eugenia approaches her own playing and teaching with a concept of "healthy" movement and posture. She's a creator of the programme "Fitness for Musicians", which is a combination of resistance and conditioning training for good body functioning and strenghtening specifically designed for musicians. She's also actively learning and applying Alexander Technique method in her practice, which proved itself as a wonderful tool for performers and music teachers in achieving effortless technique and preventing injuries and strain.
Since moving to London Eugenia continued sharing her love for music with even more people. She started teaching Andrew Lloyd Webber Classical Music Programme, which is a funded charity project that allows hundreds of young people to experience the world of music making. She teaches violin and flute to more than 240 teens and 20 adults within this programme. All the lessons and instruments are funded and are free for all students.
She's also a part of a few leading London music education companies and has a big class of violinists and flutists of different age and level learning with her privately. Currently she's teaching over 600 students weekly one to one, in small and large groups, ensembles and orchestra.
The idea of Music Transformation was born from Eugenia's desire to reach out to even more people with the wonderful art of music, especially to those who don't have an access to it. She wanted to create new programmes that didn't exist yet or were not developed enough. And so the idea for the sponsorship programmes such as "My Peace of Music" (music education for war refugees) and "Music Gift" (for kids from families with a low-income) was born. She also addressed a problem of quality music education for adults and late starters and created her programme "London Adult Music Academy".
Apart from a big experience working with adults and late starters individually Eugenia was a part of a well-known American international project for adult learners for over 6 years, creating learning courses and curriculum for thousands of students from around the globe. Currently she's working on a violin method for adult learners and late starters. It will put together all the knowledge and tools that Ms Pikulyk developed throughout the years, allowing students to master this instrument with a professional approach and achieve a fast and effective progress within the shortest period of time.
Music Transformation unites highly skilled and experienced musicians and educators in and outside London and is aiming to open the door to everyone who wants to enter a wonderful world of music. It is also a place where we run workshops, masterclasses, CPD training and offer health and wellbeing support and consultation for professional and aspiring musicians.
We believe that together as an open-minded and passionate music community we can make a real Music Transformation!
