With a background in geology and planetary science, Dr. Proctor has dedicated her career to inspiring others through science, exploration, and creativity.

In 2021, she made history as the pilot of Inspiration4, the world’s first all-civilian orbital space mission, becoming the first Black woman to pilot a spacecraft.
