Flow reflects the cognitive dissonance that is the zeitgeist of our era. It is complex, layered music, seldom simply one thing. Flow is bittersweet, holds harmonic dissonances knowingly, purposely avoids resolution, lulls listeners into complex but hypnotic polyrhythms, and generally finds ways of perpetuating tension as something beautiful in and of itself, without requiring a release.
