Tomorrow brings the final performance of Lady Macbeth at Opera House, Copenhagen. It has been a real privilege for Akram to work side by side with the artists and team of Royal Danish Ballet to create such a deeply layered reimagining of this story.

Copenhagen, thank you for stepping into the shadows with us.

The World Premiere of Akram's Hunting a Whisper in the Wind, performed by Principal dancer Francesca Hayward and Jeffrey Cirio, Principal dancer at Boston Ballet, for the Royal Ballet's Spring Gala.

The duet explores the fragile and elusive boundary between life and death, tracing a haunting dialogue between presence and absence, memory and illusion. Two figures inhabit a world of connection and disappearance; a meditation on the ambiguity of existence.

On International Dance Day, we revisit an experience of deep immersion that continues to be felt. In December 2024, our Classical Intensive came to Sri Lanka for the first time, bringing artists together for a shared journey into Bharatanatyam, creating space for both listening and dialogue. Led by Mavin Khoo, the third edition invited participants to deepen their understanding of musicality and to reconnect more deeply with their practice. This short documentary returns to that experience, reflecting on what emerged during our time together.

Just announced: three performances in Colombia with Teatro Colón from 22 to 24 April.

We’ve long awaited our return to South America, so it means a great deal to bring our final production there - and to share it with our friends in Colombia for the first time.
