It was great to be invited in to chat with UWL Media and Communications students (and prospective students) about the Ealing Film Festival.

Festival Director Russell England was joined by award-winning director Rebecca Rose, whose film The Removed won Best Narrative Drama at last year’s festival.

Alongside them were Karyna Fedorchuk, a 2nd year student currently working with EFF, contributing to our creative output, and past student and VFX Designer Rushil Vyas.

We’re really excited to welcome The Farm as a sponsor of Ealing Film Festival 2026!

In an industry where so much comes down to access, to the right support, the right people, the right finishing touches, partnerships like this really make a difference.

The overall winner of EFF 2026 will receive a post-production package worth £6,000, giving their film the opportunity to be finished to a professional standard and ready for its next stage.

The Farm are long-time supporters of emerging talent, with a real focus on backing new voices and helping stories reach their full potential - something that sits very closely with what EFF is about.

We can’t wait to see where this takes this year’s winning film.

Submissions are open. Enter in April to receive 20% off entry fees.

I WAS A TEENAGE S*X PISTOL + LIVE Q&A WITH GLEN MATLOCK

šŸ“… Sunday 5 April, 5:00 pm

Join us for a screening of the wild documentary I Was a Teenage S*x Pistol, based on the memoir and autobiography by S*x Pistols founding member and principal songwriter Glen Matlock.

The film explores the Pistols’ rise to global notoriety through Matlock’s own perspective, offering an honest and insightful look at a group determined to disrupt the music industry and challenge social conventions. From the search for a singer to the early chaos of the punk scene, it captures the energy of 1970s Britain and the cultural moment that helped define punk.

After the screening, we’ll be joined by Glen Matlock himself for a live Q&A, giving audiences the chance to hear first-hand stories from a key figure in one of music’s most influential bands.

Today we popped in to see our friends at Marlow Studios to talk about their future plans and our long-term partnership.

We ended up having some really thoughtful conversations about the current state of the industry and where we hope it’s going. Both the studios and the festival are looking at how we can play our part in shaping the future of British film — supporting filmmakers, championing diverse voices, and creating meaningful opportunities along the way.
