"For the Love of Brentford" — Creative Mile and Fairview New Homes are launching an outdoor art installation along the new canal path behind Printmakers Yard. Running until spring 2027, it will feature 10 selected artists responding to this year's Creative Mile theme of love.

Open to painting, printmaking, collage, photography, video stills, and images of 3D work. Selected artists receive a £50 Fairview voucher. The installation launches Saturday 18th July.

Mark Pearce, Creative Director at Creative Mile said: "Brentford has many artists that are inspired by the town, particularly as it goes through a period of significant change. We are looking forward to seeing what they submit.

ART ON YOUR DOORSTEP:
THE NATIONAL GALLERY IS COMING TO BRENTFORD

An exciting year ahead - Life-size reproductions of masterpieces from the National Gallery will be coming to Brentford.

The second phase of a national touring project, The National Gallery: Art On Your Doorstep, has just been announced. Organisations across the UK will share paintings from the nation’s collection. Over the course of 3 years the National Gallery will be working with 12 partners.

Creative Mile, Brentford Art Trail will work with the National Gallery and local people to display up to 30 painting reproductions positioned in unexpected places. Each painting is life-sized, in fine detail and in its frame. Outdoors and free to view this exhibition will bring art into the everyday.

Shaped by the community the project, celebrates the creativity and identity of Brentford. The exhibition will run from the opening of the Creative Mile weekend on 4th September 202 until 14th February 2027.

Creative Mile is hosting an Open Day at XYZ Brentford, 40a Brentford High Street on 14th February 10am and 4pm. Come along to find out more about the project.
