There are rare moments in history when grief and joy meet so profoundly—not as opposites, rather as intimately bound to one another. Our shared survival as Syrians has stretched our hearts beyond measure: swelling with the joy of newfound freedom, aching with the grief of all that has been lost, wrestling with the uncertainty of the unknown, yet steadfastly beating with the hope and excitement of possibility.

It is from this vast emotional expanse that we collectively weave our dreams for liberation, embracing the joy, grief, and trepidation within us as they shape our next steps and breathe new life into rebuilding a homeland. We invite you to gather with us, to hold space for one another, and to collectively experience the full aliveness of this moment as Syrians—and as liberated survivors of a brutal regime.

Join us for an afternoon social, where we will host a grief circle by Dr , a participatory art workshop by , live music (tbc), dabkeh by and light refreshments. Feel free to BYOB.

This event is for Syrians, Palestinian Syrians and survivors.

As we witness the violent destruction of a whole society in Gaza and the horrific recent attacks on Rafah, we join call on colleagues across the cultural sector in the UK to strike today.

We believe that to continue operating in a world where this is allowed to happen is unconscionable and unacceptable.

If you are unable to join the strike today scroll right to see tips on how to organise at work.

We are delighted to be collaborating with contemporary artist and to bring to you - Rising, Together - a practical workshop that draws inspiration from Issam's current exhibition, Urgent Archive that is on at

Bread is a lifeline– ‘aysh’, which means bread in Arabic, takes on the meaning of life, ‘to live’. 🌾

Join Issam Kourbaj to explore how, through the act of bread-making, bread can take on new meanings, as the workshop opens up a reflective and discursive space to knead and fold in a multiplicity of embodied memories and inherited tales around bread.

Sunday, 21 April
2:00pm - 6:00pm
Places are limited, see link in bio for more details and to book your spot.

We also have a very limited number of solidarity tickets in case the price is a barrier and you would like to attend. Get in touch, no questions asked.

Net proceeds from tickets to be donated to Gaza Sunbirds, a para-cycling team, consisting of 20 athletes, based in the Gaza Strip. They are currently distributing aid in Gaza.

Dounia and The Princess of Aleppo receives its UK premiere at this weekend! Together they undertake a perilous journey in order to find the new home which, Dounia is sure, is waiting for them somewhere.

Screening at on Sat 1 July, 13:45, in Arabic with English subtitles (suitable for children aged 5+ and animation fans of all ages!).

By coming together over food, this supper club shines a light on the transformative power that radical acts of hospitality unlock and the many ways in which such practices foster regenerative modes of being together in the world, pointing towards our interconnectedness and interdependence as fragile, earthly beings.

We are pleased to announce that all ticket proceeds from the supper club will go to support people affected by the recent earthquake in Syria.

We look forward to welcoming you for a magical night of feasting, sharing and dancing! 🔥✨
