Very interesting, first part was quite good, second one dragged a bit. Ben Daniels very good, some other actors quite good but some of them were quite weak!

Here There are Blueberries - Stratford East

Show 3 of 2026 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The story (based on real events) is about a museum that in 2007 receives an album of photographs about bosses/clerks/accountants of Auschwitz Concentration camp. During the play the museum investigates who are the people in the pictures, who the album belongs to and some quite important discoveries are made…
Obviously the museum has a moral decision to make, is it right to publish and exhibit this pictures? Is it right to publish pictures of perpetrators and not the victims?
I’ll stop here because there is a lot going on in this play…
Personally I loved the topic of this play as I adore Historical studies so the content of the play is 10 stars to me….BUT…I gave three because I don’t think the acting was great.
Also in the last part of the play they talk about the “Auschwitz Album” a “more famous” album that has victims pictures in it but it has nothing to do with the story.
As I said, I recommend it for the historical importance of the play/story but counting the pros and cons of this this production, I would say that it’s not extremely unmissable…

The story is very interesting and deserve to be told…unfortunately acting wasn’t amazing and the play could have been cut a little bit!

Guess how much I love you? - Royal Court

Show 2 of 2026 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Jeeeeeeez! What a show! It’s only 1 hour and 35 minutes but I had stomach ache for the entire time…
Because there are some “surprises” throughout the show I can’t talk a lot about the story…BUT… the play is about a couple that endure a very difficult pregnancy… not going to say anything else…
I didn’t give 5 stars, and I’m raising the bar of my “critic” as we are talking about amazing actors, because sometimes I didn’t feel they were acting couple but actors…especially during some silly jokes they share… ON THE OTHER HAND…the both actors were wonderful especially during emotional parts…
Robert Aramayo was absolutely wonderful… maybe as most men (and I say this because I’m probably one of them), hold everything inside, don’t show extreme emotions (at least I try) for the good of the situation…
And that’s what he did… he showed to the audience his emotions holding most of them inside… I was an inch away to jump on stage and hug him…seriously!!!
Rosie Sheehy…I know she is good (I follow her in every show) but this time she made me speechless… She is officially entering my best top ten performances I have ever seen on stage… for example when she let out her rage on the hospital bed, I don’t think she acted…she literally delivered raw emotions from her stomach… After all these weeks I’m still thinking about her…
Be ready because the play is very hard to watch…but it’s unmissable!!! Go and see it!

Very hard topic….BUT…the acting is one of the best I’ve seen in years!!! Mind-blowing!!!

The Pl***oy of the Western World - Lyttelton Theatre

Show 65 of 2025 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️

In a very short version of the story…this play is about Ireland, a guy kills his father and runs away, because of that everyone is fascinated by him and all the women of the village wants him…
I adore when plays are played in their original language or accent BUT, as once Michael Billington said in an interview, if you don’t understand what the actors say on stage…what’s the point?!?…and that’s what happened in this production… numerous times the accent was so thick that you don’t get what they say…
And now…the trio of actors on stage…Nicola Coughlan didn’t convince me…I think she played another Bridgeton character with her boots and beautiful dress…the question is…why everyone was so dirty on stage and she was the only one clean with no mud stains?
I think that the pl***oy Christy/Éanna Hardwicke was miscasted…it’s not what expected from the play BUT I absolutely adored Siobhán McSweeney, I already saw her in Dancing at Lughnasa, she is always so natural on stage, very good performance.
The play is a bit of a mix between a serious play and a comedy, I actually loved the stage AND all the male villagers were absolutely wonderful!!! Loved their acting! Recommend it so you can see McSweeney on stage but it’s not an unmissable production.

I knew i would fall in love again for McSweeney…. Even though I love originality, accent was sometimes a bit too thick. Loved the villagers…they were amazing!

Ride the Cyclone - Southwark Playhouse Elephant

Show 64 of 2025 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

At first I didn’t think of going….but it actually intrigued me of how someone can write a musical about this 🤣🤣🤣.
This is the story of 6 teenagers (one is unknown) that travels to Uranium city to perform as a choir and instead they all die because of an accident on a rollercoaster.
They find themselves in a sort of a limbo controlled The Amazing Karnak and they have to decide who is going to be one to come back to life…
Every character is very…original 🤣🤣🤣 there is Noel Gruber, the only gay in town that fantasises of being a French pr******te in 1920/30, Mischa Bachinski an adopted Ukrainan child who raps and dreams or marrying his online fiancée Talia or Ricky Pottas, a nerd that fantasises of being a “Space Age Bachelor man” and all the Space sexy cat girls want him…🤣🤣🤣
As I previously mentioned I’m very curious to know what was the creative process of the author in writing this musical…it was extremely quirky…nevertheless I had 90 minutes of pure fun!!!
Probably it’s not for everyone and during the show I sometimes had a feeling it misses a bit of scenery…it was almost like watching a choir singing instead of a musical…I said sometimes because in other part of the show those there were some minimal props and they were good/funny enough.
Recommend it and yes it’s pure fun…

PS Noel Gruber, whilst fantasising of being a French pr******te, winked at me, blew a kiss and threw French Francs 🤣🤣🤣, you can see them in one of the pictures I posted

It was so quirky that I really would like to know what substance the author used to write this musical 😂😂😂… It was pure fun!!!
