Luca has been serving fondue on Redchurch Street since 2005, but we remain a hidden destination for those looking for something a little off the beaten track in East London. Loyal customers describe it as an intimate living room filled with kitsch and vintage objects, from oversized flamingos to an original Singer sewing machine. Strangers become good friends after a convivial evening of live music and comedy, followed by Luca's card tricks and entertaining conversation, fuelled by Negronis, wine and Limoncello shots. 'Arriving at Walluc is like walking into an Aki Kaurismäki film set', according to 'Secret London - Unusual Bars & Restaurants: Eating and Drinking Off the Beaten Track'. Our Set Menu costs £24 per person and includes a charcuterie or cheese plate, cheese fondue with rustic bread and potatoes, plus a Limoncello shot. You can also order filled gnocchi (vegetarian) instead of fondue. BISTROT WALLUC BOOKINGS POLICY:
Our Set Menu is £24 per person. We ask that a minimum of 2 people order fondue. As a small and independent business, we source all our food fresh on the day to avoid food waste. So we request a £10 per person deposit when you book for lunch or dinner. The deposit will of course be taken off your final bill. If you cancel at least 24 hours before your booking, you can move the booking to another date if it’s available. However, if you go ahead with the booking and one or more of your party don’t turn up, we wouldn’t be able to take their deposits off your final bill, nor issue a refund. After texting to let us know date, time and number of guests, please make the payment by PayPal (enter our mobile number 07864 219 140), bank transfer to our business account (request details if needed) or cash. On the day, we accept PayPal, bank transfer to our business account or cash. We only take bookings for dining guests. Please also let us know if you are vegetarian or have any allergies.
