🏃‍♂️ DONE IT! 🏅

Today I completed the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 5K in an official time of 43:44 around the foot of Arthur’s Seat — starting near the Scottish Parliament and finishing beside Dynamic Earth.

An absolutely brilliant atmosphere from start to finish, with thousands of runners taking on the route through the heart of Edinburgh.

This was another important step in my 30k for 30 – Walking in memory. Walking for life. fundraising campaign in support of Simpsons Special Care Babies Charity ❤️

Being born 10 weeks premature myself, and losing my twin brother John at birth, makes every mile deeply personal. SSCB supported my family at the hardest time of their lives, and this challenge series is my way of giving something back.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported, donated, shared posts, and cheered me on along the way. Plenty more miles still to come 💪

Huge thank you to everyone who came along to our quiz night tonight 🧠💛

A special thank you to The Local, Loanhead for hosting us and making us feel so welcome — please support them when you can. And thanks as well to everyone who donated raffle prizes, and everyone who bought raffle tickets on the night.

After 6 rounds + a picture round, it came down to a joint 1st place between Team Purple and TPS… and after the tie-break question, TPS clinched the victory 🏆👏

Between cash taken in and donations via JustGiving (including Gift Aid), we raised £167.50 tonight for Callum’s 30k for 30 supporting Simpsons Special Care Babies Charity (SSCB) — genuinely grateful for every pound and every person who showed up.

Borders Abbey Way – Day 3 (Jedburgh to Bedrule)
Today was meant to be Jedburgh to Hawick, but Black Law (and some properly brutal blisters) had other ideas, so I made the call to step off early at Bedrule. Tough day underfoot, but still a cracking climb with big views out to the snow-capped Cheviots and beyond.

Borders Abbey Way – Day 2 (Kelso to Jedburgh)
12.10 miles | 4h 20m | 26,034 steps

It was slightly longer by someone forgot to start Strava 🤦‍♂️

Another solid day in the bank — steady miles, good progress, and one step closer to the bigger goal.
