What a way to end this year’s Llantwit Major Chamber Music Festival… ✨

Last night’s final concert—featuring Beethoven and Fauré—was a truly magnificent, uplifting and moving close to a very special few days of music. 🎻

We are incredibly grateful to all the outstanding performers who brought such artistry and energy to the festival, and to our wonderful audiences and friends whose support and enthusiasm made it all so memorable.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our hosts at St Illtud’s Church for providing such a beautiful and welcoming setting, and to our generous supporters—the Colwinston Charitable Trust, Llantwit Major Lions Club, Llantwit Major Town Council, all of our generous individual supporters and Friends of the Festival, and those who prefer to remain anonymous. Our final, but by no means least, thanks go to our amazing volunteers and trustees. The festival simply would not be possible without all of you.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this year’s festival—we already can’t wait to do it all again.

A beautiful afternoon of music before our Festival Finale begins ✨

We were delighted to welcome guitarist Hope Cramsie to the Llantwit Major Chamber Music Festival today for a captivating and deeply expressive recital 🎸 From delicate colours to moments of real intensity, it was a performance full of artistry and poise.

Our heartfelt thanks to Hope Cramsie for sharing such wonderful music with us, and to The Musician’s Company for their generous support in making this concert possible 💛

What a magical evening at the Llantwit Major Chamber Music Festival last night ✨

Our celebration of Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann and Brahms brought together three towering voices of the Romantic era in a programme full of passion, lyricism and depth. From Clara Schumann’s intimate Romances to Robert Schumann’s richly textured Piano Quartet, culminating in Brahms’ expansive A major Piano Quartet, it was a journey through some of the most heartfelt chamber music ever written. Thank you to our wonderful performers and to everyone who joined us—it was a very special atmosphere to share 🎶

And the music continues today!

🎸 2:30pm – We’re delighted to welcome guitarist Hope Cramsie for a beautifully varied solo recital, featuring works from Catalan folk song arrangements to contemporary pieces.

🎼 5:30pm – Our Festival Finale brings the weekend to a close in style with Beethoven’s dramatic “Ghost” Piano Trio and Fauré’s radiant Piano Quintet No.2—an uplifting and powerful way to end the festival.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for last night’s opening concert—it was a truly special evening and a wonderful way to begin this year’s celebrations.

We’d love to see you again today! Join us at 11am for our Children’s Concert—a fun and engaging musical experience for families and young listeners.

🎶 A fantastic day of music in the community! 🎶

Today, ahead of the opening of the festival tomorrow evening, our wonderful musicians took to the road—visiting schools and community spaces across the area and sharing live music with around 700 children and residents!

From inspiring the next generation to getting young people up to conduct, it was a joyful and memorable day for everyone involved 💛
