Our ELEA 2027 course is run in partnership with , and places fill up fast! If you want to learn English in a beautiful quintessentially British castle and also get outdoors and explore, learn new skills and make new friends- this course is for you!

ELEA participants are not confined to the classroom, they also take their learning outside and participate in fun and engaging activities such as climbing, pool kayaking, archery, bushcraft and hiking. Leisure activities such as sports, team games and a tournament challenge.

We are on the look out for Atlantic Experience Activity and Events Team Members

Salary: £12.79 per hour
Closing date: Friday, 11 September 2026 at 12:00 BST

We’re looking for enthusiastic, proactive individuals to join the College’s Atlantic Experience team on a part time basis, helping us make the most of our unique campus, facilities and activities.
As part of this vibrant team, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences while helping to maximise the use of our campus facilities for students, residents, visitors and commercial customers. This will include, coordinating pool sessions for students and commercial bookings alike, supporting residential education programmes, outdoor and adventure activities, community events, day camps and private hire events.

We have three roles available with varying hours;
15.5 hours per week
13 hours per week
16.5 hours per week
*Shift times will vary for each role

Summer 2026 at UWC Atlantic was filled with learning, adventure, creativity and connection. ☀️🌍

Throughout the summer, we welcomed young people from around the world to experience life at the Castle and discover what makes the UWC Atlantic community so unique.

Our English Language Experience and Action (ELEA) programme, in partnership with brought together participants to develop their English language skills through engaging activities, new experiences and cultural exchange.

The Global Leadership Experience (GLE) challenged participants to think globally, develop their leadership skills and explore how they can make a positive impact in the world.

Our Atlantic Adventure Experience (AAE) took learning beyond the classroom, with participants embracing the outdoors, building confidence, working as a team and experiencing the stunning surroundings of the Welsh coast.

2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of UWC Atlantic welcoming Atlantic Pacific (AP) to deliver programmes at the College. Since then, UWC Atlantic and Atlantic Pacific have worked closely to create opportunities for students and alumni to develop lifesaving skills, engage with real-world humanitarian challenges, and embody the UWC ethos of education as a force for peace and sustainability.

Music took centre stage with the Harp course taught by , bringing talented harpists together for a week of learning, creativity and performance in an inspiring setting.

And our Summer Day Camps gave younger participants the opportunity to enjoy days filled with fun, friendship, activities and adventure.

From language and leadership to music, outdoor exploration and new friendships, it has been a summer full of unforgettable experiences. 💙

A huge thank you to all our participants, families, tutors, instructors and teams who helped make Summer 2026 at UWC Atlantic so special.

⛵ Nautical Leadership Experience 2026 🌊

This fully funded residential programme, created in partnership with will explore careers in the maritime and nautical industries, give you the opportunity to work collaboratively, try new experiences and grow confidence in leadership abilities.

You don’t need previous seagoing experience or specialist qualifications — just an open mind, a willingness to try new things, and a commitment to the full programme.

⛵ Sailing into Adventure! 🌊

What a fantastic day on the water for our participants taking part in the Action Activity Experience (AAE) Atlantic Experience Course at UWC Atlantic in St Donat’s! 🌊☀️

With the beautiful Welsh coastline as our backdrop, participants took to the water, learning new sailing skills, working together as a crew and embracing the challenges that come with life on the sea. ⛵💪

From hoisting sails to navigating the coastline, the day was all about teamwork, confidence, communication and adventure — with plenty of fun along the way!

Caving Adventures! ✨
What an adventure for our AAE group, they took on the challenge of caving, heading underground to explore, climb, crawl and discover a whole new world beneath their feet 🌍✨

Navigating the darkness and supporting each other along the way, it was a brilliant opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence and make unforgettable memories!

A day full of adventure, teamwork & laughter!
