We have added a few limited entries to the event the Llangynidr Mountain Challenge this Saturday 24th June so anyone can still get their entry in by 6pm on Wednesday 21st
Previous info has been posted before. But in summary climb the mountain by bike as many times as you feel comfortable with to the top of Llangynidr Mountain up to a maximum of 10 times starting from the Red Lion pub in the village where snacks fruit juices fruit coffee and tea provided by the pub throughout the event which runs from 8am till 6pm All for just £25
All proceeds supporting Brecon Mountain Rescue Team which is a valuable self funded voluntary service

Also to note forecast for Saturday is for 23 degs sunny intervals and gentle breeze

Not long to go now everyone! We invite you to join CCC for the exhilarating 2023 Llangynidr Hill Climbing challenge!

Date: Saturday, June 24th, 2023
Time: 8am - 6pm (last climb attempt starting no later than 6pm)
Location: Red Lion Pub Llangynidr (Duffryn Rd, Llangynidr, Crickhowell NP8 1NT)
Entry Fee: £25 (Last entry accepted on June 17th)

The Challenge
Prepare for an epic cycling adventure! The challenge will follow the same successful format as last year, with the Red Lion Pub serving as our base from 8am till 6pm. Your mission? Climb the magnificent Llangynidr Mountain as many times as you feel comfortable, with a maximum of 10 climbs. A marshal at the top will count your ascents, fuelling your competitive spirit!

Included in your entry fee are energising treats to keep you going throughout the day. Cereal bars, chocolate bars, fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juices, and water will be provided at the Red Lion Pub. Best of all, the funds raised will go directly to our chosen charity.

The Charity
We are honoured to support the incredible work of Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, an emergency service entirely staffed by volunteers and funded solely by public donations. Their dedication to saving lives in the wilderness is awe-inspiring. On the event day, the charity will be on hand to provide essential First Aid services to participants. The Climb:
Llangynidr mountain presents a formidable challenge that will test your strength and determination. With a long steady climb, you'll conquer the exposed mountainside, experiencing the thrill of overcoming each uphill battle. As you near the top, a false flat will greet you before the final push to the finish line. Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping adventure!
