This Saturday we are heading to the beautiful land of CYMRU. We be stringing up the sound in the theatre of Gwyrch Castle from 2pm till 11pm alongside Summit Sound who are powering the coach house till 1am.

The event is family friendly session till 8pm so you can bring the kids if you want to catch a bank holiday weekend early doors vibe.

With the SugarShackSoundSystem family in attendance you can expect 100% vinyl selections from theMedicine Men, The Oliphant Man and theDOC . We will be dropping disco funk family friendly to Rocksteady Roots Dancehall DnB beats riddims & basslines throughout the day.

Full bar and refreshments available and Food vendor onsite is Up A Yard - The Lighthouse Inn Talacre. So if you’re looking for a session get yourselves to the castle this Saturday 29.08.26.

SHOUT OUT to everyone that made it to our BAKAYARD session on Saturday 22.08.26 at WALLASEY BEACH CLUB thank you for your support. Remember all your funds you spend at the CIC help maintain a non for profit project. Shout out our vinyl stalls Carl and Nathan Rescued Records onenathanunderagroove for supplying as all ways quality records for sale. Big up to Eat Up Gud for the Caribbean goodness 🔥🔥🔥🔥. To theDOC for the roots rock reggae session at the garden in the afternoon and Rotation Joe Heath and for taking us on the dance journey past sunset.

Our 6th BAKAYARD of the year is incoming Saturday 22nd August 2026 12pm till Late

We have a full daytime all vinyl selection of Reggae from rocksteady to dancehall to roots from selectors and yours truly from 12pm till 6pm.

Then from 6pm till late we have bringing the after dark vibes to the garden once again. Playing beats and riddims to take you dancing into the evening.

Not only do we have the music played on our new club soundsystem, but we have a great selection of vinyl stalls available on the day. Including to name a few. Your sure to find all your Rock, Punk, Pop, Memorabilia, Electronica, Soul, Motown, RocknRoll, HipHop, Chart, 60s/70s/80s/90s/2000s needs in the hunt for your favourite album or 12” / singles.

Add to the vibe we have back at the club supplying the best in Caribbean food all day long well until sell out like their last visit. Add to that the full bar and refreshments available at

FREE ENTRY, Free parking and a stones throw away from the beach, why not make it a day trip.

Just to let you know is a non for profit organisation so every penny spent on the bar goes towards maintaining our fantastic cic.

The nearest train station is Grove Road (which is 5mins walk to the club), which has regular services from Liverpool and Chester to NewBrighton if you want to ditch the car. Bring the Family (we’re also dog friendly) you can dig for vinyl or on the beach afterwards while enjoying the vibes of the BAKAYARD.

“DIG’RS SUNDAY SOCIAL INCOMING”.

We’re back Rockpoint Records for our monthly session of DSS on Sunday 2nd August 2pm till 6pm.

Expect the very best of everything REGGAEHIPHOPSOULFUNKAFRODISCOACIDJAZZ’NSKAFUNKADELIC BEATS RYTHMNS & BASSLINES to say the least all 100% vinyl spun by some of the best selectors in the area & beyond.

First up on the 2nd August you have yours truly the chief rocker stepping in for Graham Medicine Man who can not make this session so I’ll be picking out a selection of some of my more abstract plastic riddims from 2pm till 4pm.

Next up 4pm till 6pm we have a kidda I’ve tried to lockdown for a while the myth . If you were lucky to be a follower of Melodic Distraction you would have caught Richie’s informed show of epic tunes. Expect African rare findings and fast east underground jazz epics mixed in with reggae riddims and Leftfield cool mood music.

Add to this a full on pop up record stall by onenathanunderagroove . As always We got Hella Dough supplying the best handmade pizza onsite, Rockpoint Records supplying you with beer, cocktails. coffee & visual street art delights throughout the day. This will be our final date of our summer residency Rockpoint Records but not to worry we alrwady planning our return.

Rockpoint Records is situated on Victoria Road only 5mins walk from NewBrighton train station on the Wirral Line. Trains run every 30mins from Liverpool to NewBrighton and from Chester via Hamilton Sq. The venue is also dog friendly.

Thank you to everyone that supported our Mersey Dub Club Special on 11.07.26 at District. Was a special gathering.

Having one of Liverpools foundation sounds King Struggler in the room was a great moment for me. I’ve wanted to string up and share a session with Gibby for time now. Also finally getting the Fester out with river_city_hifi was a colossal moment that sound is a heavyweight rattler with all its soundsystem culture history in those boxes. The The Oliphant Man selecting as always a solid selection while waiting the match live behind us 😂. for supplying the organic ice cream wellness and fresh elixir in the hot hot night.

Shout out to Eric the main man and all his staff District for making us welcome and taking care of us . Special mention to Mr Talley .ses for the help stringing up and down and setting the atmosphere.

Sound man life is a long day : night and then daylight but totally worth every second to be amongst like minded people within the community. May the dances lives on 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊.

We have back in there daytime selection spot playing there best Balearic beach at the beach from 12pm till 6pm.

Then from 6pm till late we have the female powerhouse collective .inthecity taking over the deck duty. Expect current dancefloor energy UKG with a bit of Hype vibes to take you dancing into the evening.

Expect a varied selection from Africa highlife to new school jazz to heavy hiphop breaks.
