HECATE ENTHRONED RETURN TO LIVERPOOL
It's been 10 long years since Hecate Enthroned last played in Liverpool, so of course I had to put that right and invite them back at the earliest opportunity, what better time than off the back of their highly acclaimed latest release 'The Co**se of a Titan. A Lament Long Buried' which is an absolute masterclass in symphonic black metal.
Joining them are good friends Ofnus who will be making their return to Liverpool after a 3 year absence. I caught up with both bands earlier this year at Reaper Festival and made my intentions known that I'd find an excuse to bring them back. I'm hoping we get treated to some new material which is currently in the works, or perhaps a revisit of a couple of tracks from 'Time Held Me Grey And Dying'... we shall see!
Opening the night I've invited M2TM Sheffield finalists SoulGrief, who I kept my eye on throughout the competition this year. They fuse elements of black, death, and doom metal to deliver their own brand of sonic misery. Exploring an extreme musical and lyrical landscape and not confined to typical genre tropes. The SoulGrief sound is one that is as distinct as it is intense and I'm thrilled to give them a Liverpool debut!
