For those of you who have not yet visited our hall the building itself was built in 1871 as a Chapel of Ease at some point over the years it ended up being owned by Oxford College over the years it was used as a village school when the school closed It was given to Linton for the community use. The Parish Council are the trustees of the hall we are just taking care of it at the moment and as with

all things like this it will in the future pass to other committees to carry on the work that others started years down the line. As you come through the village you will have seen that there has been lots of work being done to the hall to name but a few new roof, Weather vane, Celtic Cross, front and back doors replaced and new leaded windows at the front of the building around the clock, disabled access to rear of building. Internally we have removed the false ceiling put on in the 70s and opened up the roof to reveal the wooden beams and carvings it looks fantastic. We obviously need to keep the hall in good repair and to this end we really need to increase our bookings, now that all this work has been done it certainly is a lovely place to hold events i.e. If you think you would like to use our hall for a social event the cost for the hire of the hall is a mere £9.00 per hour. If you have no need to hire the hall then please, please come along and support our events. The hall is at the moment used for the following:
Post office 4 times a week. Whist Drive on Monday evening every week Dog Training every Wednesday evening - Gardening Club once a month - History Group once a month - Church Service once a month- Easingwold Children’s Centre Wednesday morning term time only - Saturday Coffee Mornings once a month
