This will be a very unique recital by the talented lay vicars and choral scholars of the Cathedral Choir. Please come if you’re able. Admission is free with a cathedral ticket.

Join us on 18 November Lunchtime Recital at 1.10pm by the Lay Vicars and Choral Scholars for a performance of anonymous renaissance music. Each piece in this recital was gathered from several recently rediscovered sources spanning the 16th century, and will be performed for the first time in many centuries.

This recital is a celebration of the many forgotten men and women who, though their identities are no longer known, have richly contributed to our shared musical heritage. This recital is free with admission.

A group of five music students from the University of Lincoln, Interlude Ensemble, were due to give a recital in the chapter house today. Because of the COVID-19 situation they could not bring you their concert live. They have, instead, remotely recorded some performances (from as far afield as Malta!) and edited them together in this short podcast. We hope you enjoy it.
